These terms describe the basic rules that apply when you access and use PocketSSH and related pages. Continued use generally means you have read and agree to these terms.

1. The service

PocketSSH is an SSH client for mobile devices used to connect to and manage remote SSH hosts.

  • Save and manage multiple host profiles.
  • Start SSH connections with a password or private key.
  • Interact with a live terminal on your mobile device.
  • Use a shortcut bar to improve touch input efficiency.

We may adjust, optimize, limit, or retire features within reason.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use PocketSSH lawfully and appropriately, and you are responsible for the hosts you connect to, the commands you run, and the consequences.

  • You must not use the product for illegal, infringing, fraudulent, or destructive activity.
  • You must not try to bypass technical limits or interfere with normal operation.
  • You must not connect to, scan, or operate others’ hosts or services without authorization.

3. Credentials and device security

You are responsible for safeguarding passwords, private keys, and server profiles you enter, import, or store on your device.

Risks and losses from lost devices, compromised systems, credential leaks, or your own actions are yours to bear.

4. Third-party networks and environments

PocketSSH availability depends on your target hosts, network conditions, device platform, and other third-party infrastructure.

We cannot guarantee that issues such as unreachable hosts, certificate or key misconfiguration, outages, carrier limits, or platform changes will never occur.

5. Privacy and data handling

For how data is handled, please also read the Privacy Policy. Using PocketSSH means you understand its description of local storage, network connections, and support contact.

6. Apple platform terms

If you obtain or use PocketSSH through the Apple App Store, you also agree to Apple’s applicable App Store terms and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). If these terms conflict with mandatory Apple platform terms, Apple’s terms govern to the extent of the conflict.

7. Intellectual property

Unless applicable law provides otherwise, page design, copy, UI, code, and related marks for PocketSSH are owned by the developer or its licensors.

These terms grant only a limited license to use the product within their scope; they do not transfer ownership.

8. Disclaimer

PocketSSH is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every device, network, or remote system.

PocketSSH is a connectivity tool. It does not replace your judgment about permissions on remote hosts, command outcomes, backups, or operational processes.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for losses arising from your use or inability to use the product, host issues, network failures, misconfiguration, data loss, or other indirect consequences is limited as allowed by law.
